Treatment using hyaluronic acid fillers

For a fresh, youthful and natural appearance

Hyaluronic gels have been developed for a variety of different treatments. The effects are instant and the treatment is commonly used to combat wrinkles and lines, restore plumpness and contour parts of the face. Skinboosters also help rejuvenate the skin.

Extensive studies have confirmed the excellent compatibility and long-lasting cosmetic effects of these treatments to give a fresh, youthful and natural appearance.

My practice exclusively uses premium products from prominent manufacturers.

Restylane® Skinbooster™

Radiant skin, radiant you

What are Skinboosters?

Restylane® Skinboosters™ use a stable hyaluronic acid (not sourced from animals) that deeply hydrates the skin with long-lasting effects.

They are an innovative, intensive skincare treatment.
The hyaluronic acid used is produced using patented NASHA technology. It stores moisture within the skin and is very similar to the hyaluronic acid the body itself produces.

What are Skinboosters used for?

Day-to-day stress, long-term smoking, an unhealthy diet, a lack of sleep and a lack of sun protection are all major risk factors when it comes to premature skin ageing.

A series of Skinbooster treatments can be particularly effective in combating signs of ageing such as fine lines around the eyes and mouth, sleep wrinkles and facial wrinkles in the cheek area and wrinkles on the hands and neck.
Skinbooster treatments can particularly benefit areas exposed to sunlight such as the face, neck and hands.

What effect do Skinboosters have?

Hyaluronic acid is naturally found in our skin and keeps it hydrated thanks to its water retention capacity.

It hydrates the lower layers of the skin to make the skin firmer and more elastic.

It smooths the skin, giving it a fresher, more radiant appearance.

Who can benefit from a Skinbooster treatment?

Skinboosters can be used in a wide range of contexts: both younger and older men and women can benefit from the treatment, either as a preventive measure or to treat existing signs of ageing.

It can also be used to improve the appearance of acne scars.

When are Skinboosters not the best option?

Unlike other hyaluronic acid fillers, Skinboosters do not have a significant lifting effect.

They therefore tend not to be suitable for treating extensive sagging in the midface area (cheeks) or deep facial wrinkles (e.g. nasolabial folds, marionette lines).

Other hyaluronic acid treatments are also more effective for lip augmentation.

How are Skinboosters administered?

Skinboosters can be used on larger areas of the face, neck and hands.

I use blunt, atraumatic needles for the procedure (the “tunnelling technique”). This allows the Skinboosters to be applied to almost the entire face with just two injections. This means the risk of bruising is very low and the treatment is virtually painless – unlike when using sharp needles.

Skinbooster treatments should only be carried out by experienced medical specialists.

How many treatments are needed?

The best effects are achieved by a course of
three treatments around four weeks apart, which allows the skin time to regenerate.

This should be followed by a top-up treatment around six months later.

We always recommend

having regular smaller treatments rather than lots of treatments at once every few years.

What makes Skinboosters different to other skincare products?

Standard skincare products that are applied externally don’t cross the skin barrier, meaning they only have a short-term, surface-level effect.

Many patients have previous experience with mesotherapy.

Mesotherapy involves introducing active ingredients to the top skin layers. Hyaluronic acid is frequently used in these treatments too. However, the hyaluronic acid used here is what is known as “non-crosslinked” (very “fluid”) hyaluronic acid and loses its effect almost entirely after around 30 days.
